What is the members’ forum?

The members’ forum is dedicated to members of the Caribbean Med Labs Foundation (CMLF). In this forum members will hold facilitated discussions, and share and develop guidelines, documents and position papers on issues of importance to Caribbean laboratories in the context of both regional and national health services.

What are the benefits of becoming a member of CMLF?

As a member of CMLF you will have the following benefits:

  1. Access to a peer network and opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills.
  2. Access to a trouble shooting and problem-solving network of peers.
  3. Access to CMLF documents that are restricted to members only.
  4. Discounted rates for documents and guidelines developed by CMLF.
  5. Discounted rates for training programmes delivered by CMLF.
  6. Input at the developmental stage, into selected documents and guidelines being developed by CMLF. Your feedback will help to shape guidelines and guidance documents produced by CMLF.
  7. Automatic membership (if desired) in the Caribbean Biological Safety Association (CABSA) – being established by CMLF in collaboration with the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA).

Who is eligible to become a member of CMLF?

Anyone can become a member of CMLF – various categories of membership are available:

Full membership – Laboratory professionals and staff, clinical and nursing staff, etc.

Corporate membership –Insurance companies; Suppliers of laboratory equipment, supplies and materials; Accreditation Bodies; Standards Bureaus.

Associate membership - Persons interested in laboratory issues e.g. administrators, politicians, Health NGOs.

Public membership – members of the general public.

How can I become a member of CMLF?

You can become a member by completing a form providing your background and contact information, as well as your areas of interest. Membership for 2013 will be free of charge. An administrative fee will be charged for renewal of membership annually starting from 2014.
